Health Care and Congressional Intervention (what Dr. Seuss might think)
I do not like it Uncle Sam, I do not like it Sam I am. I do not like these dirty crooks, I do not like how they cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their secret deals. I do not like this Speaker Nan, I do not like this ‘YES WE CAN’. I do not like this kind of hope, I do not like it nope! nope! nope!
All of this translates to higher taxes* and higher insurance premiums. It’s a shot in the dark if anyone decides give credence to the projections of the Congressional Budget Office. No one has any idea how this all would work out.
Higher taxes will strangle an already weak economy. I believe that those that invest and provide capital to our economy, in hopes of higher returns for capital invested, will be inclined to sell(protect their own capital) and move a sizable portion to foreign stocks, that are more investor friendly, and hard assets.
Last but not least, I haven’t heard very much discussion on how this will lower health care costs. This appears to me a “classic” throw other peoples money at a problem. I fear the unintended consequences of what happens when you try to douse a fire by pouring gasoline on the inferno. Encourage your Legislators to vote no.
